Working across Kent and covering areas such as Gravesend, Dartford and Welling, GPM Designs offer a free rapid fitted bedroom design service – our average house visit lasts about half an hour or longer at your request. During the visit we will discuss your requirements and explore options, survey the room and then provide either the same day or the day after a written quotation with a high quality 3D drawing and plan of your room. There is no obligation and we never adopt pressure sales tactics in your home.
Every bedroom is individually styled to suit your taste, whether that be classical traditional or contemporary. Style is so personal. That is why our massive range of door styles will cater for every taste. From traditional shaker style to glossy clean lines in a seemingly endless range of colours from classic white or alabaster to Dark Walnut or Pippy Oak, we are confident that we can do whatever you desire. We can incorporate mirrors or frosted, clear or coloured glass. Or maybe you would like a door with clean lines such as our Milan styling which incorporates a recess on the edge of the door allowing you to open it without the need for conventional handles or knobs.
Behind the door of every GPM Designs creation is a strong and durable 18mm full carcass with sides, tops, bottoms and backs. The hinges have a soft closing mechanism giving that touch of quality and class and the units are finished complete with plinth and infills scribed to walls and ceiling and cornice where required. The installation is carried out by our own expert craftsmen. We do not use subcontractors.
The internal layout is designed to maximise your space. Choose single or double wardrobes with your choice of long and short hanging or shelves. We can integrate drawers or shoe rails, internal mirrors and tie racks as desired. Double hanging can sometimes be a bit of a stretch so if required we can install pull down rails for easier access to your clothes.
Complete your bedroom with made to measure fitted drawer chests, cupboards, dressing table, mirrors and stools, bedside cabinets and headboards. We can make the stools using your own fabrics or fabrics supplied by us. The stool frame and legs will also match the colour of your furniture.
You can opt for a 45 degree angled corner unit giving easy access to awkward corners. The corner door is at 45 degrees to the other doors in the run. This is often an option with an L shaped wardrobe running along 2 walls.
To break up the flat end on the end of a wardrobe run, you can opt for an angled end wardrobe. This is a 45 degree door at the end of a run of wardrobes with 45 degree shelves behind. This is a useful feature where an end panel is close to a room entrance. In these cases, an angled end wardrobe can completely alter the dynamics of the room, opening it up and giving the impression of more space.
GPM Designs work in conjunction with a fully certified electrician who can provide all your requirements for lighting in our units or other work such as re-positioning sockets or light switches as required.
There are 2 broad categories of wardrobe design – sliding door and hinged door. Please click on the images below for more information.
